What will you be doing?

As a Dining Room Supervisor, you'll play an important role in supporting the smooth running of our dining room. You'll help supervise the waiting team during our twice-daily meal services, ensuring our guests receive a friendly, efficient and enjoyable dining experience.

Our dining rooms operate slightly differently to a typical restaurant. With the exception of arrival day, guests generally pre-order their meals, meaning the kitchen knows what is required in advance. This allows our team to focus on great service and making sure our guests have a fantastic dining experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the smooth running of the dining room during breakfast and dinner services.
• Supervising and supporting waiting staff to ensure restaurant procedures are followed.
• Seating guests and allocating staff to tables and daily duties.
• Providing a friendly, welcoming and professional service to our guests.
• Monitoring the quality of service provided by the dining room team and addressing any issues where necessary.
• Communicating with guests and informing them of daily specials and relevant information.
• Communicating effectively with the kitchen team to ensure guest orders and requirements are clearly understood.
• Supporting the team to ensure food and drinks are delivered efficiently and to the required standard.
• Responding professionally to guest queries and helping resolve any issues.
• Supporting the Dining Room Manager and wider hotel management team as required.
• Acting as a positive role model for the dining room team.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for someone who is passionate about hospitality and enjoys working with the public. Previous supervisory experience is helpful, but we're also keen to hear from experienced waiting staff who are ready to take their first step into a supervisory role.

• Confident and able to demonstrate natural leadership qualities.
• Friendly, approachable and passionate about customer service.
• Positive, enthusiastic and able to create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Organised with excellent communication skills.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Passionate about working with the public and creating great guest experiences.
• Confident supervising and supporting other team members.
• Able to remain calm and professional when working in a busy environment.
• Knowledgeable about Health & Safety, Food Safety and Hygiene requirements, or willing to learn.
• Reliable, flexible and committed to maintaining high standards.
