What will you be doing?

As a Dining Room Manager, you'll play an important role in the smooth running of our dining room. You'll lead and support the team during our twice-daily meal services, ensuring our guests receive a friendly, efficient and enjoyable dining experience.

Our dining rooms operate slightly differently to a typical restaurant. With the exception of arrival day, guests generally pre-order their meals, meaning the kitchen knows what is required in advance. This allows the team to focus on great service and delivering meals efficiently, rather than traditional cook-to-order service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating the daily front and back-of-house operations of the dining room.
• Leading and supervising the dining room team during breakfast and dinner services.
• Ensuring excellent customer service and maximising guest satisfaction.
• Greeting guests and providing friendly, efficient and professional service.
• Responding to guest queries, complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Organising staffing requirements for the twice-daily meal services.
• Supporting the recruitment, training and development of new waiting staff.
• Mentoring new team members and ensuring they understand the correct operational procedures.
• Taking guest orders and communicating effectively with the kitchen and bar teams.
• Serving food and drinks to guests as required.
• Working closely with the kitchen team to ensure guest requirements are communicated and met.
• Maintaining high standards of presentation, cleanliness and service throughout the dining room.
• Acting as a positive role model and supporting the team to deliver the Daish’s guest experience.

What are we looking for?

We're looking for someone who is confident leading a team and passionate about delivering excellent customer service.

We're looking for people who are:

• Experienced in a restaurant, dining or hospitality environment.
• Confident supervising or managing a team.
• Friendly, approachable and passionate about guest service.
• Organised and able to coordinate a busy dining room effectively.
• Calm and professional when dealing with guest complaints or challenging situations.
• A strong communicator who can work effectively with the kitchen and wider hotel team.
• Able to motivate and support team members.
• Confident giving direction and leading by example.
• Positive, reliable and committed to maintaining high standards.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.

Previous management or restaurant management experience is preferred, but we're also keen to hear from experienced hospitality team members who are ready to take the next step in their career.
